Career
In 1974, Catherine O’ Hara drew attention after giving her first performance, when she was a member of ‘The Second City’ improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto.
The actress appeared in her first television sitcom show named ‘Coming Up Rosie’, started in 1975 and ended in 1978. In the series, she acted alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd.
In 1976, she then made an appearance in the sketch comedy series named ‘Second City Television’. The series was ended in the year 1984. For her performance, she got huge acclaim. Her work as an actress and writer was truly appreciated. And this led her to win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 1981.
However, Catherine O’ Hara did many films and got prominence for her performances. She has the ability to win the hearts of many with her admiring acting prowess.
